BAC Clone Library Distribution

Six genomic DNA libraries in BAC clone are available, at cost, each representing a major lineage of non-mammalian amniote. These libraries were made with funding from the National Science Foundation, with Scott Edwards of Harvard University as the Project Director (award information here).

Products available for each library are:

(1) High density filters, 22 cm square, containing 18,432 colonies

(2) Sets of 384-well plates of glycerol stocks of clones

(3) Individual clones as agar stabs

Detailed protocols on how to handle the clones you receive, how to do hybridization of high density filters, how to prepare BAC DNA, and how to interpret hybridization signals (and more) are available at BACPAC Resources of CHORI.
